Insurance & Fees

It is the clients responsibility to be aware of their insurance benefits and costs associated with services. If you do not have an insurance policy, your policy does not cover services or you choose not to use your insurance your session fee will be the standard self-pay rate.

All professional services provided to the client are charged and due at time of service. Occasionally, insurance companies may deny claims if they are determined as unnecessary. Every effort is made to ensure each claim is authorized; if a claim is denied, you may be personally responsible to provide payment for services rendered. Clients are ultimately responsible for all outstanding fees.

Changes in service fees and in-network insurance options may occur.  You will be given reasonable notice when changes occur and have the ability to continue or stop services.

Payments may be made via credit or debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.

Insurance

In an attempt to make therapy accessible to you, I will be working on credentialing with multiple insurance providers. I am currently credentialed with the following insurance providers, but will be adding to this list.

Awaiting Approval:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • BCN

  • McLaren

If you have an insurance provider that is not on this list, I would be happy to provide you a medical service invoice for you to submit for your reimbursement. Additionally, I am able to bill as an out-of-network provider if you have out-of-network benefits.

Self Pay

If you are interested in self pay, sessions are billed as follows:

Intake session: $150

Follow up: $130

As of January 1, 2022 clients who choose to forgo using insurance or do not carry a policy are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges; which will be provided to you.

Other Fees

A late cancellation fee is charged when a client gives the therapist less than a 24 hour notice. This fee is up to your full session rate. The therapist will wait up to 15 minutes for a client to attend their scheduled appointment. If the client does not show after 15 minutes, the appointment will be considered a no show, and a fee will be charged.
