Meet Me

Ashlee Shearer MA, LPC

Here’s a bit about me:

I have been practicing as a licensed counselor in Mount Pleasant, MI since 2019. I graduated from Central Michigan University with my undergraduate degree in Psychology with minors in Child Development and Nutrition and my graduate degree in Professional Counseling. I have been active in the mental health community since starting my degrees in 2013.

My passion as a clinician lies in helping my clients feel they are living their lives to their fullest potential. I know the struggle to feel in control of your life often leads to feeling out of sorts in every arena of life. I’m here to help you sort out the pieces and feel like you are in charge.

While I do focus on certain areas: anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image and adjusting to life transitions I try my hardest to help my clients understand that they are more than their struggle areas. You are a person that struggles at times, you are not the struggle.

My hope for everyone I meet with is to provide a safe space where you can explore the purposes of some of the maladaptive coping skills you may be engaging in so you can work to cope more effectively in the future.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends, enjoying nature via hiking, biking or kayaking, playing with my dogs, and reading.
